Going to Europe Through Libya is Not Safe

While we understand the reason lots of Africans are trying to get to Europe, it is important to go there through the right channel. Due to visa issues and flight ticket, many Africans find themselves going through illegal channels in a bid to get to Europe by all means. One of the most popular shortcuts a lot of immigrants use are the “illegal” travel agents in Libya.

Is it worth it?

This is the first question you should ask yourself if you intend to get to Europe through Libya. Ask yourself if it’s worth it. Why should you risk your life trying to cross over to Europe? We will keep saying it over and over again that it is not safe, and we do not advise anyone to take this route.

We’ve heard horror stories of overcrowded boats capsizing with people drowning and losing their lives just to get to Europe.

Human trafficking is real

Some have even fallen into the hands of human traffickers. There’s no point in becoming a 21st-century slave just because you want to go abroad. Again, it’s not worth it. Even if you eventually get to Europe illegally, you have to deal with the fact that you will be considered an illegal immigrant. With this, you risk going to prison and getting deported back to your country.

Go abroad through the right channel

If you’re going abroad, be sure to go through the right channel. Apply for a Visa, look for flight ticket and travel. Becoming a legal immigrant is worth the trouble.

If this is too expensive for you, you can take advantage of fully-funded scholarships for international students.

If this doesn’t work for you, some job offers come with relocation packages. The employer takes care of your visa, flight, and everything.

Be warned, don’t go abroad illegally. Don’t fall victim. Stay safe and be sure give your loved ones this message.
